WHAT IF...
...the most believable psychic ability...
...wasn't reading minds?
Not predicting the future.
Not influencing decisions.
Not even knowing what someone is thinking.
But simply...
Knowing where hidden objects are.
Throughout history, stories have been told about people who could locate lost objects, sense hidden dangers, or somehow find something they should never have been able to find.
Whether those stories were true has never really mattered.
Because people already believe the premise.
They've seen it in novels.
In films.
In television.
Characters like Patrick Jane from The Mentalist don't appear supernatural. They simply notice what everyone else overlooks. They find what nobody else can find. They walk directly toward the impossible as if it had been obvious all along.
That's exactly what makes this premise so powerful.
It doesn't feel like magic.
It feels possible.
BEYOND SIGHT
For years, I've been fascinated by one simple question.
What if every demonstration in a performance suggested exactly the same extraordinary ability?
Not mind reading.
Not prediction.
Not psychological influence.
Just the impossible ability to know where hidden things are.
That idea became the foundation of this project.
Beyond Sight isn't a random collection of routines.
It's an exploration of a single fictional ability expressed through four completely different demonstrations.
Different methods.
Different props.
Different structures.
One consistent character.
Because audiences don't remember methods.
They remember what they believed you were capable of.
INSIDE BEYOND SIGHT
Experiment I - Devil's Nail
A spectator secretly places a deadly upright nail beneath one of several identical paper cups while your back is completely turned.
The cups are mixed.
The danger is real.
You have no possible way of knowing where the nail is.
Yet, with complete confidence, you begin smashing your hand onto the cups...
One after another...
Leaving only a single untouched cup.
The only one hiding the nail.
No electronics.
No magnets.
No assistants.
Just impossible certainty under impossible conditions.
Experiment II - Witch Hand Master
One small paper ball.
Two closed hands.
One impossible demonstration.
A spectator merely thinks of a two-digit number before the experiment even begins.
The paper travels freely from hand to hand while you identify every movement with absolute precision.
Then, for the first time, they reveal the number they only imagined.
The paper is opened.
Written inside...
Is the very number they never spoke.
No switches.
No fishing.
No compromises.
A routine that feels less like guessing...
...and more like genuine perception.
Experiment III - Triple X-Ray
Three cards.
Three hidden locations.
One impossible demonstration.
A spectator freely shuffles the deck before selecting any three cards.
They mix them until even they lose track of which is which.
One card disappears into a back pocket.
Another into a front pocket.
The last remains hidden inside a tightly closed hand.
You never see any of it.
Yet moments later...
You reveal the exact identity of every card...
And precisely where each one has been hidden.
Not card magic.
Not memory.
Just the impossible ability to perceive what should remain unseen.
Experiment IV - Photograph of Fate
Three ordinary objects.
Three completely free decisions.
Nothing is forced.
Nothing is restricted.
The spectator chooses the exact order in which the objects will be arranged.
They can even change their mind at the very last second.
Only then do you remove a photograph that has been inside your wallet from the very beginning.
In the photograph...
The spectator is already holding those same objects...
In the exact positions they only decided moments ago.
No explanation.
Just a moment that appears to have existed before reality caught up with it.
MORE THAN FOUR ROUTINES
Most books teach effects.
This one teaches consistency.
Between the routines you'll discover the thinking that transforms isolated demonstrations into a believable character.
You'll learn why audiences accept some premises more readily than others.
How conviction is created.
How silence strengthens impossibility.
Why pacing matters more than speed.
How to build false memories naturally.
How to manage impossible moments.
How to structure an act where every routine reinforces the same extraordinary ability.
By the end of the book, you won't simply have four new demonstrations.
You'll have a blueprint for creating an experience your audience will remember long after they've forgotten the methods.
BUILD AN ENTIRE ACT
Beyond Sight doesn't end when the explanations do.
The second half of the book explores what happens after you've learned the routines.
You'll discover how to connect all four demonstrations into a complete theatrical experience, gradually escalating the impossibility until the audience no longer sees individual tricks...
They see a performer who never seems to lose sight of anything.
From intimate close-up performances...
To corporate events...
To formal mentalism shows...
The principles remain exactly the same.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
This book was written for performers who care about more than fooling people.
It's for those who want to create believable experiences.
To build a recognizable character.
To perform demonstrations that feel coherent rather than disconnected.
If your goal is to learn another clever method...
There are plenty of books that can help.
If your goal is to become the performer audiences genuinely struggle to explain...
You're exactly where you should be.
WELCOME TO BEYOND SIGHT
Some performers convince people they can read minds.
Others convince people they can predict the future.
Beyond Sight explores something quieter.
Something subtler.
Something that often feels even more believable.
The impossible ability...
To always know where hidden things are.
