This Lippincott box features full key lock and solid pewter hardware. It is constructed from solid Mahogany with measurements of 3" x 3". Each unit is signed and numbered. The reason Mahogany was used wasn't just to change woods: Mahogany was used because the characteristics of the wood conceal the secret gimmick such that even magicians "in the know" may have trouble finding it due to the unique grain.
Lippincott boxes allow for objects to vanish from one place and mysteriously appear inside the sealed and locked box. Of course, there are many other possible scenarios and routines with this amazingly crafted, quality piece of apparatus. This box finally answers the call for larger items and does so as only David Powell could do with exceptional detail to quality.
