Years ago, a fascination with antique optical toys led Rufus Butler Seder to wonder if he could create motion pictures using no electricity, moving parts or special lighting. After some experiment he developed a lens-ribbed glass tile that was to form the building block for his dream come true. He called it a Lifetile. These Lifetiles appear to come to life, move, and change when the observer travels by them. Some people walk or run back and forth, making the picture 'move,' while others stop, stare, smile to themselves, and sway from side to side. The people can be as fun to look at as the work itself. The motion is all in the eye of the beholder. Every Lifetile is hand-crafted from start to finish. A joy to have in the home or office.
